Description

Kenya Kiambu Rwera Natural

Kenya is best known for its washed coffees, while high-quality Natural processed coffees remain relatively uncommon. Compared with the classic washed profile, the Natural process enhances fruit sweetness, body and complexity, making Kenya Natural a distinctive choice for specialty coffee enthusiasts.

Located in Kenya's central highlands, Kiambu is one of the country's most respected coffee-growing regions. Its high elevation, fertile volcanic soil and favourable climate allow coffee cherries to ripen slowly, developing exceptional sweetness and clarity.

Rwera Washing Station carefully selects fully ripe cherries and applies a meticulous Natural process to preserve the coffee's vibrant fruit character. A blend of SL28, K7, Ruiru 11 and Batian varieties creates a beautifully layered cup, opening with the crisp sweetness of green grape, followed by juicy mixed berries and dried strawberry, before finishing with a smooth white chocolate sweetness. The result is a rare and expressive Kenyan Natural with remarkable balance and complexity.
